C&M Books and Coffee: Company Christmas Party (Pt 1)

C&M was honored to get to have our 1st annual employee family & friends Christmas Party at the incredible Wightwick Manor mansion, located at Norm's Dollhouse, in Centennial Colorado.

I met the caretaker of Wightwick Manor, Lynn, to open the place up and see what there was to see.

He told me they'd spiffed the place up a little, and even decorated a bit for us.

He wasn't kidding. It was gorgeous!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care (I always wanted to say that, but I really think they were!)

Lynn told me we had the place to ourselves all day, and headed out.  Awesome.

The guests started arriving not to long after he'd gone.

Madera is our intrepid photographer, and took pictures of everyone at the party. There are only two pictures of her from the party.

One attempted self portrait.

And then Wendy snapped a picture of her real quick in front of the tree.

The rest of the time she wandered around and took candid shots of everyone else. She's awesome like that.

So, here are the first batch I have sorted. I've put the names of who's in them underneath each one. Click on any of the photos to make them bigger and see the details!

Roo came dressed as Mrs. Claus.

Amelia getting a tasty beverage (photo bomb by Phoebe).

Phoebe in front of the peppermint tree.

My sister, Juno, rockin' the green pigtails.

C.J. cleans up pretty nicely.

The lovely Ophelia, hanging out by the gorgeous Christmas tree in the library.

Lacrymosa chillin' by the fireplace.

Me and Clara.

Juno checking out the balcony. She'd never seen Wightwick Manor before, and Lynn had said that for the smaller party, it was okay for guided tours upstairs.

Clara hadn't seen the manor before either. She was very impressed.

Clara makes a fine Lady-Mouse of the Manor.

Clara on that incredible staircase.

Me on the incredible staircase. Seriously, you should see this in person. It's just gorgeous.

Tabby came with reindeer antlers. She's so cute.

I didn't realize until I was sorting the pictures, but this doorway was the location for the very first picture ever taken of a doll in Wightwick Manor. ME! It wasn't a very good picture, and I can't find a copy of it online. But it was December 30th of 2009 that I first set foot in the Manor. It's funny, though. I feel like I've always just belonged there. It doesn't seem like it's only been a couple of years. Weird.

Anyway, that's all the pictures for this entry. A good time was had by everyone and I can't believe the lengths the Manor folks went to for us. Many thanks to Lynn (Caretaker of Wightwick Manor), David and Norma of Norm's Dollhouse for letting us have our party there. It was super great. Thank you all so much.

More pictures soon. (Edit: Part 2 can be seen here - Christmas Party Pt 2)

EDIT: I found a copy of the first ever picture of me at Wightwick Manor. Here it is! December 30th, 2009. I knew I loved the place, even back then.

Thanks, Zorropirate! It was really great. More pictures in the next couple entries too. I don't know what we're doing for New Year's. Probably something at the coffee shop, though. We haven't had a party there since the grand opening. High time if you ask me!
