Miri in the Big Blue House

A new structure has come to the Wylde Kingdom and while we didn't exactly need another building here, this one is very special and we are honored to have it.

It's a room box. A great big, blue, three story, room box.

It's really cool, but what makes it EXTRA special is who made it and when.

This beautiful blue box was made by Norm Nielsen. THE Norm of Norm's Dollhouse. Where I work. THE Norm. He made it in 1974!

I'm told that Norm and his wife, Norma, made all the little cakes and cookies and stuff in this little bakery level. They made the case and shelves too.

Apparently it was made for a slightly taller baker than I am, but that's okay.

This room had a pot belly stove in it, but it didn't seem to suit the room so we'll find somewhere else for it. I don't know what this level will become yet, but it'll be nifty. Upstairs is my favorite, though.

The 3rd floor is a bar! We've never had a pixie bar in the Kingdom before. This will be interesting.

I never got to meet Mr. Nielsen. He was gone long before I even moved into the Kingdom, but I wish I had. He must have been an amazing guy to build such awesome stuff for pixies.

Anyway, isn't it neat? I can't wait to see what it becomes and I think it's so cool it's here! Thanks for looking!

  3. I love it! What a special little house. I'm sure Norm had a wonderful imagination and outlook on life to create such a nice little house.

  5. Oh, Miri, it's a wonderful surprise! I stayed up late, until Ann went to bed, just to see if you had announced it yet. It is a work of art and signed by the real artist! Priceless! So my first question is: can pixies get liquor licenses? If so is it going to be Miranda's Bakery and Ale House? Interesting combination, don't you think?
Anyway, cuz, I think it's just stupendous and I can't wait to hear and see more about it. BIG hugs, Trilby

  6. What a neat house! And you just need a little stool for that bakery counter, and it will work great! :D

  9. Hi Bama! I think you're right, I think he must've been a pretty awesome guy. I wish I'd met him, though I don't know what he would've thought of a pixie like me. I don't think he'd ever met one. Well, we'll never know I guess. He did build awesome houses, though. That's for sure!

Hey Plushpussycat! I'll keep you posted and let you know what it becomes! Once I know. And get a chance to work on it. With this trade show trip coming up things here are BUSY so we'll see. :)

Hi Trilby! You know, I dunno about getting a liquor license, or who we'd even apply to. It's always easier to ask forgiveness than permission, so I think we'll just do it and see what happens. >:) I like the Bakery and Ale House combination! That's brilliant! *hugs*

Hey Randomfish, that's a great idea! I'll have to keep my eye out for a little step stool! Thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks, Lou Who! I'm excited to see how this all works out. When it works out. Things need to settle just a little bit first, I think. But we'll see. :)

Hi Marie! Thanks for coming and reading about my weird little world! Nice to meet you!
