The Green Elephant

Yesterday, went to a BJD Yard Sale.

It was pretty fun. Lots of stuff to see. Lots of nice people.

I got NOTHING, however. That just doesn't seem right.

Anyway, so last night, I heard a truck pull up to the old Clara's Coffee Shop and then a bunch of noise. It's sat empty for so long, I couldn't imagine what they were doing.  But this morning, walking to work, I saw.

We have a new neighbor. "Green Elephant: Thrift & Consignment". Huh.

I borrowed Madera's camera, 'cause I thought if it was something interesting you guys might want to see it too.

So, this is it. Looks kind of interesting.

They have some pretty cool stuff, and I REALLY want that glass bird (I collect glass animals, just in case you were wondering what to get me for Christmas).

This must be THE Green Elephant. Huh.

Some strange stuff in here.

Kind of cool. I would love to see more.

I didn't see their hours anywhere, though. So I'll just have to check back again sometime. I was kind of hoping we'd get a deli, or somewhere for food. But I guess a thrift store is okay too. Pixies always need more stuff.

I'll let you know when I get to go shopping there. I didn't see any sign of anyone. Maybe they're closed on Sundays. *shrug*

  2. How neat! And the little green elephant is adorable too! Looks like lots of fun things in there. I'd enjoy shopping in that store myself, but I doubt I'll fit through the door. Maybe I'll send Hitty! :o)

  3. Thanks, ZenakuCreator. :) You're so sweet.

I think it's kind of cool, Bama. I wish I knew who was running the place, and when they'll be OPEN! Businesses should post their hours somewhere. I can't wait to go in and shop. And you should definitely send Hitty! I'll bet she could find some cool souvenirs to bring home! I'll let you know as soon as I know what their hours are, so you can tell her. :)

  7. Hey Randomfish! I'm really psyched! I can't wait for them to open. I can already see a couple things I would like through the windows. I can't imagine what else I'll find inside!

Hi Lou Who! Absolutely! I think this is going to be a neat addition to the Wylde Kingdom. Especially since I'm about to have a giant castle/house which will need lots of awesome decorative STUFF!

Me too, Plushpussycat! I can't wait to get in. They LOOK like they're ready to open! So where ARE they? Hopefully soon! I'll keep you posted!

  8. Look at all that cool stuff!!! I didn't get to go anywhere this weekend because I caught a cold. *sniff*

  9. That stinks, All4dolls! I'm sorry you caught a cold. It's been going around, that's for sure! I've been very lucky to have missed it *knock on wood*. Get well soon!

And I can't wait to see INSIDE the shop! Open, darmit!!!

  10. This is my kind of shop! I really want to look round, too. What a great addition to the Wylde Kingdom.

I only went out in the car this weekend because it absolutely chucked it down. I could have drownded. Thank goodness the Guardian decided to go back home and not trudge through the downpour.

  11. Hey NyXyz! This waiting is going to drive me crazy. There are THREE things in there I already know I want. But they're not open yet. Maybe they're just not open on Mondays? I dunno. I'll let you know if I see anything I think a Vampire would like!

Glad you didn't drown! Your Guardian is pretty smart, and she keeps you safe. That's pretty awesome. :)

  13. The thrift store looks great! Can't wait to find out who is running it. I like thrift stores a lot and have picked up some odd things there. One of my favorites is a little hand embroidered wall hanging of a big bowl of popcorn and an apple. It's rather odd but nicely made and very cute in my kitchen :D
