Shopping Trip at Norm's Dollhouse - Pt 2

Okay, so when we last left off I was searching for shelving to put my tea service on. Which shouldn't be hard. But really was.

See, pixies (myself included) are SHORT. I can't make pixies my height reach up for boiling tea water! I don't want to get sued before I even open my doors!

Perhaps a tasteful step stool? Or just taller customers?

Quickly realizing that the height of my customers wasn't something I could control, I kept looking for the perfect tea service table. So many were almost perfect, but not quite.

So when I found the perfect one, I knew it the second I saw it.

I set it up with tea and stuff, just to make sure. But it was PERFECT! Even if it was in the "bathroom" section.

MINE!

Finding everything for the store was exhausting, but I did it! Before I headed home, I wanted a little break.

I treated myself to a glass of wine on the porch of the beautiful Seaside Villa. But don't worry, I'm not driving.

After Norm's had closed, I started walking back home.

It seemed like a good idea. Nice weather, beautiful day, good day for a walk.

A really, really LOOOOONG walk. Yeah, well it SEEMED like a good idea at the time.

I got back to the book store late. LATE late.

It might be bedtime. Night night!

First Look at the Book Den!

I worked really hard Friday night in my Book Den, and I got all the books shelved.

I have a lot of plans for this place too. Brilliant ideas just kept flooding in the more I worked with the books. Or maybe I just have a reaction to book glue. Either way. It's going to be awesome.

So I grabbed my camera and tried to get you some pictures of the Den which would illustrate its awesome. It didn't work. At least I don't think you can tell how great this place is from my bad photos.

But I did try.

I'm trying to make it a cozy, and inviting place.

There is still a lot of work do to.

Like cleaning the dog fur off my couch. Wendy's dog doesn't even come IN the bookstore. How'd her fur get here? Weird.

One of my Facebook friends spotted the Hitty book in a previous picture. Funny story about that book. I love it, but it's actually one of the most controversial titles I carry: controversial both in the human world and the doll world. I'll tell you all about that next time.

For now, I hope you enjoyed your first visit to the Book Den. Thanks for coming by, and come back soon!

Picture from the Book Den

I took some pictures of my Book Den last night, after I got all the books up on the shelves. I'm still sorting them for a real blog entry, but in the meantime, here's one of my favorite shots through the front window.

For now, I'm off to do some shopping at Norm's Dollhouse for supplies for the Book Den. I think this is going to be too cool. I'll tell you all about it when I get back!

 Later!

P.S. While waiting to head out for shopping, I restored all of the blogs that still had pictures, which is pretty much everything _I_ didn't publish. If you find a blog entry missing pictures, please let me know, okay? But I think it's all fixed. I'm still looking to see how many of my old pictures we've got, but it's not looking good. I'll keep you posted.

RSS Wrestling and What I Wish I Were Doing Instead

I'm mucking about with internet stuff. Sorry. This isn't much of a post. It's a test. No real content.

But I wish that instead of wrestling with the internet, I was off doing something awesome. Like hanging out next to a pool, going back and forth from swimming, to sunbathing, to swimming, to sunbathing.

*sigh*

So here's a picture of the last time I got to do that. It was awesome.

I am cute in a bikini. And today, I'm even wearing those same shoes. Weird.

Sorry for the test post. Real content again after a bit, after I get my Book Den going.

New Digs and a New Shop!

Lots of things have changed since I accidentally blew up this blog. (Oops. Sorry about that.)

Not the least of which is I've moved.

It's pretty exciting. I love my new house. It was a gift from a really nice couple I met at Norm's Dollhouse. It was totally finished and wallpapered and everything. Ready to move in!

It's really spacious, but so far all I can show you is the living room and the kitchen.

I'm still getting moved in, and upstairs is a mess. But what I really, REALLY want to show you is downstairs.

This is a really interesting house. I can't say I've seen anything quite like it. It's got a separate basement level, which I have big plans for.

It's down there.

Okay, so it doesn't look like much yet. So I'm asking you to just think about potential, okay? Potential.

This will (someday soon) be Miranda's Book Den!

Pretty soon. I've got books coming. It'll be like an annex to C&M Books and Coffee while that's in limbo.

I don't know if I can set it up to do coffee or not. But it'll be okay even without it.

I kind of see it as just a relaxing place to hang out and read books on a comfy couch. Just for me if no one else figures out it's here.

So yeah, I've got a lot more work to do. Thanks for stopping by so I could show you the new place. I'll have more to show you soon, hopefully. Once the books arrive and stuff, and I get upstairs a little more organized.

Talk to you again soon!

Tabula Rasa -The Big Do-Over

Most of it's gone. This blog, I mean. Almost all of it. Every blog entry I ever did is gone. Well, the pictures are. I don't even know if I still have them on my computer. They may very well be gone forever. But I might have them. I dunno.

I hope I do. If I do I'll fix it.

If not, you're stuck with me trying to start over.

And here I am.

Next entry will be about my new book store. You'll see. This is just testing to see if this even works anymore. Did it?
