Birthday Blahs & Catching Up

My birthday was yesterday. I don't have any pictures to show you, but just trust me. It was great.

Except I found out that Hittyville.org isn't going to update anymore. That was not great. I understand why she's not blogging anymore (oh, believe me, I understand). But it's still a bummer. I hope she has great adventures, even if we don't get to share them anymore.

Last weekend I worked at the annual September Miniatures show at the Norm's table, which WAS pretty great. I saw some amazing things. I'll tell you all about it. Soon. Probably.

I feel like I'm playing catchup with my whole life. I am so busy now, between trying to keep things running at C&M, helping Lenore with her business venture, helping everyone ELSE with their business venture, and working at Norm's too, I just feel like I'm constantly running and never have time for anything.

BUSY!

Maybe I should've asked for self help books for my birthday. I need to simplify my life somehow.  Anyone got a copy of  "Help for Pixies Who Do Too Much?" Ugh.

  1. No idea if there are any books like that available Miranda. I've tried the human version...they don't work! ;-)

Glad you had a good birthday. It was sad news about Hittyville, but like you I too understand.

  2. Sounds like you need an assistant more than a book - although, speaking as an admin, books are handy when you need to swat a manager back in line. ;-). (Just kidding, although I've wanted to sometimes...)

  3. Happy birthday Miranda!
Sounds like you need a vacation in Hawaii or something. You know, where you just sit on the beach under an umbrella, sipping fancy drinks and staring out over the ocean for hours. You and Wendy are doing too much!
    Slow down and enjoy life.
    Hugs,
    Isabelle

  4. Glad your birthday went well! Sounds like you are awfully stressed...I second the suggestion of getting an assistant, so you can delegate some of those tasks!

  5. Hey Serenata! Well, I'll keep an eye out for books, but it's kind of unfortunate to think that the human ones don't work. Probably the pixie ones don't either. But it's okay. I'll figure something out. I'm good like that.

Hey Maddy! An assistant would be GREAT! But I have not got the slightest idea where to find one. Maybe an ad in some of the local pixie papers? LOL! Manager swatting makes having an assistant sound like a lot less of a good idea. Hmm.

Hey Isabelle! Oh man, that sounds AWESOME! But I don't see it happening any time soon. Unfortunately. For the most part, I really do enjoy my life. Just right now it's awfully busy and it feels like doing all the wrong things. I dunno. Wendy says with my birthday and all it's probably a midlife crisis (and no, I won't say how old I am. Proper pixie ladies do not reveal their age, and neither do I.) Maybe she's right. I dunno. But Hawaii sounds like a great idea.

Randomfish, yeah. I guess I am kind of stressed. Two votes for assistant then! I'll have to put out an ad or something. I guess you never know! Wish me luck!

  6. Miri, I have been trying to simplify my life for a good while. It's not exactly as I want it yet, but its getting there.

I too, am sad about Hittyville, but I understand too. With a new grandbaby, life is busy. If you blink you miss so much! I wish her the best.

And you, as well! Happy belated Birthday!

  7. Thanks, Bama! It's good to know there's hope for simplifying my life. I really don't know how it got to this "kinda stressed out all the time" point. Weird. So good to know that working on it is working out for you. Maybe it'll work out for me too.

I wish the Hittyville lady all the best too. She'll definitely be missed, but I do understand.

And thanks for the birthday wishes. Finishing the last piece of cake for breakfast this morning. Mmm... anything plus coffee equals BREAKFAST! Yaay! :)
