Meeting the Meeting House

Wendy told me she found some super weird, but extra cool house, and I just HAD to see it.

Today, I went to check it out.

 Interesting from a distance.

She had put up a ladder for me, which I was very grateful for. This needs front steps in the worst way.

And some cleaning.

Lots of cleaning. And a little bit of repair work.

But inside... wow.

Wendy was right. This really is 100% super nifty.

And there was even MORE to explore, because there's a second floor.

With another ladder she put in for me, which I appreciated.

It's like a hayloft, kind of, up here.

I am not going to tell Wendy I did this. She'd just worry.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention it to her either. Thank you.

So I admit, this really is a pretty cool building.

And after hanging out in the rafters a bit, I knew exactly what it should be.

It's going to be the new Wylde Kingdom Grange! Like a meeting hall thing.

It needs a little clean up, but I don't want to change anything.

I can see pixie bingo games here. And maybe movie night. There's a lot of potential.

So I went home, told Wendy to bring it inside, and did this blog entry so you could see it too.

Nice, huh?

P.S. If you want to see more pictures of the meeting house, they're here - Midnight in the Dollhouse - I am a Dollhouse Magnet.

Settling (Back) Into the Wylde Kingdom

Now that we pixie types are back in the Kingdom, there's been some shuffling and resettling, and there is a bit of a pixie housing shortage. But we'll get it worked out.

A bunch of us worked really hard to get the Green Elephant set back up and ready for business. And then it was on to Devika's house.

The house has been sitting around on the back of the piano, doing nothing, for MONTHS.

But once Vee was back up and around, she was so excited about having a house again, I knew we had to get it done.

And we did!

Last night, Vee got to sleep in her own bed, in her own house. She seemed pretty happy about the prospect.

And I hope she had really good dreams in her new home.

As for me, after a job well done, I was ready to turn in too.

Bean, my baby bunny, and I are both settling into the 70s house very nicely.

Bean seems quite comfortable here, even if we do need more furniture and there is some refurbishing to be done still.

And I am pretty comfortable here too.

Life is pretty good in the Wylde Kingdom. Hope it's great wherever you are too.

Me and the 1970s House

Every time I say "I'm back" something stupid happens and then suddenly I'm not. So I'm not going to say it this time.

Nope.

Instead, I'll tell you about the house.

A house moved in, and I want it. It's from the 70s

What makes it unusual is that it is 3/4 scale, which is a kinda weird scale, but really popular in the 70s.

So 3/4 of an inch = 1 foot in the human world. Which, turns out, is just about perfect size for ME!

I don't mind the nostalgia of living in a 70s house. It's kind of groovy. Which is good, since Wendy has declared it a "piece of history" and I'm not allowed to change anything.

Furnish and refurbish is the name of the game with this house. There's not a lot of furniture yet, but finding 70s house appropriate stuff will be part of the fun of having a house again.

So it's mine. Totally mine.

But I know that to afford a house (and furniture and stuff), I need a job. Wendy has started up a new project making miniatures to sell, so she's hired me on to help out.

So, not saying "I'm back".

But I am here.

With a house.
