Just a Little Update

Things in the Wylde Kingdom have been busy. Sorry I haven't updated like I like to. Not a whole lot to report, though.

Hanging around Norm's today, waiting to decorate the Manor.Spotted a building with a "sold" sign.

Says it's going to be a pixie clothing store. "Raggle Taggle Pixies" which is one of my favorite old pixie folk songs (humans swiped it and made it "Raggle Taggle Gypsies" but it's a lot older than that. This is a pretty good version of the human one, though I like the pixie version better, personally.) That would be cool. I could use some new clothes.

I didn't go in. Breaking and entering is not something I'd do (anymore) but I did check out the staircase.

Pretty nice. Nice view.I dunno who it belongs to, but I'm looking forward to seeing and getting more clothes. There are certainly a lot of pixie businesses cropping up all of a sudden.

Anyway, then it was finally time to decorate the Manor. It went just fine, but poor CJ...

CJ just HAD to come along to help decorate. And he did a fine job. But he wasn't there to decorate really.

I think he carried that strand of lights all through the Manor, looking for Rose.

But if he saw her, he didn't tell me about it, and I kind of think he would have.

Anyway, we got it all decorated and it came out pretty nice, I think.

And now we're ready for the big Christmas Party in just a few weeks!

So not a lot of excitement yet (not until that clothing store opens!) but I'll keep you posted if anything interesting happens.

Miranda Construction-ing

I have been really busy, and I haven't updated in a while. Sorry about that.

We got in this dollhouse at Norm's for a complete refurbish, and I've been called in to help. It's for a little girl's birthday. It was her mom's dollhouse when SHE was a little girl, and now she wants it all fixed up to be a gift to her daughter, so it's pretty special.

So I've been spending a lot of my time at Norm's Dollhouse helping out.

I think this house has a lot of potential, and it's going to be AMAZING when it's all done.

But it's going to take some time and some work. We'll get there.

It's already looking better, I think. Well on the way to awesome!  And this isn't the only project going on. Wylde Kingdom Construction has been contacted about TWO building projects! At the same time!

One of them was set to be delivered to the Kingdom today. It's a beach house, and it's on order for Mr. Takanori and Cloris, his assistant.

It's an interesting structure, though I'm not sure what they're going to do with it.

I'm told that they don't want to make it into a home.

So some kind of business I guess. It's got plenty of room.

It's an interesting project, but I've got something else I need to work on. Something even before starting on my own Seaside Villa.

So I think this is one for C. Pender (of Pixielated Builders. CJ's dad). I'll talk to him about it tomorrow and see if I can convince him to come out of retirement.

Wait until you see what I'm working on. It's for Aspen and I'm really excited. And the Music School is almost done too! So lessons are going to be starting up next week, and hopefully there'll be a Christmas recital sometime in December.

Busy, busy, busy!

Hope November is being good to you too and keeping you busy in good ways! Talk to you soon!

Construction Everywhere!

Fall is apparently a pretty busy season, here in the Wylde Kingdom.

I've been spending a lot of my time at Norm's lately. Modeling and helping with construction too.

Remember that house we were working on a couple weeks ago?

It's almost done. It just needs some trim.

And stairs. Stairs would be nice.

This is the corner where I had my ladder in that one picture! You wouldn't even recognize it now! (The corner, not my ladder).

It came together really quickly.

David did the custom framing for the inside windows and it's beautiful. Makes me want my own house someday.

But there's no time for lollygagging and daydreaming!

The OTHER project going on is in the Wylde Kingdom! Aspen is going to get a shop for her soaps and stuff!

It doesn't have any lights or anything yet, since it's just arrived.

She wanted a stone floor for the ground level, and it looks like that's going to work out. She's already planning what to do with the layout.

We couldn't go upstairs yet: no ladder or stairs. But soon.

And when last I left Aspen, she was just going to hang out a little bit and really give some thought to these modifications she wants CJ to make to her shop. Can't wait to see what those are.

Anyway, now I have to run off to the music school because we've already got lessons going and we're gearing up for our first ever recital!

Sorry for the quicky update! Later!

A Few Days Later... At Wightwick Manor...

*I don't think anyone is here at all.*

*Geez, I hope not. This is would be hard to explain.*

*This is crazy. This is crazy. This is crazy.*

*You're losing it, CJ. But... but, she seemed so real!*

*clearing throat*

CJ: Um... hello, uh, Rose? I don't know if you remember me, but my name is CJ and I, uh, we danced at the Halloween party a couple weeks ago.

CJ: Uh, anyway, I just wanted to say "thank you". It was a really nice dance, and I've never had a better dance partner. So uh, someday, if, um, you ever want to dance again, I'd really like that. I'll be back for the Christmas party next month. Uh, I hope I get to see you then. Bye, I guess.

*sounds of CJ walking away, muttering to himself that he's lost his mind*

Rose: *whispers* thank you....

CJ's Dance Partner

I'd heard that CJ had been asking around about some cute pixie he'd met at the Halloween Party, but I hadn't seen him to find out the details.

Until tonight.

I was hanging out with Harley, Phoebe and Tabby when CJ wandered in.

He asked us if we knew who the pixie in the maid costume had been, and where he could find her.

I told him I didn't remember seeing anyone in a maid costume, and the other two said they hadn't either.

And CJ said that's what EVERYONE he asked had said, which was just weird, because...

The night of the party, he'd gotten a little peopled out. It had been a huge crowd, and he decided to get away, and find a quiet space to decompress for a minute.

He said he wandered into the library, and there was no one there.

He said he just wanted a minute alone, to get out of the crowd and catch his breath. He sat there enjoying the silence for a moment, and then got the weirdest feeling he wasn't alone.

He couldn't figure out how she'd come in. He hadn't heard any of the doors open.

But there, behind him, was a cute little pixie girl in a maid costume.

He said "Hi" and said she seemed surprised that he was looking at her.

He said "Wow, I really like your maid costume. You look great" and she just silently looked down at her apron. He figured she was just shy, and maybe she'd left the party for the same reasons he had. She was super cute, and he was afraid of scaring her off, so...

He said "My name is CJ. I wanted to get away from the crowd, and I guess you did too, huh? Would you like to dance with me?" and he put out his hand. To his surprise, she didn't say a word, just silently placed her hand in his.

He said her hands were cold, but he didn't mind and just figured that meant she had a warm heart. The band had just started a slow song, and all of CJs dance lessons as a kid came flooding back.

He said she was a pretty good dancer too.

That at first her movements were kind of stiff, like she was afraid of dancing with him.

But eventually she relaxed, and he heard her sigh into his shoulder.

He said it was great, until...

Taelyn and Thorne walked in. Thorne was saying something about architecture and the importance of libraries in houses or something. CJ said the little maid jerked away suddenly when she heard them.

Taelyn said "Hey, CJ, whatcha doin'?" as if it wasn't completely obvious that he'd just wrecked his slow dance with a cute girl.

He said that she gave him the saddest look he'd ever seen, and then she must've run away because she was gone.

He didn't see which door she'd gone out of. It was like she just vanished.

Taelyn and Thorne said they didn't even SEE her! But the light in the library wasn't THAT bad, and he figured they were just razzing him for getting caught dancing with a cute girl.

And ever since then, he'd been asking if anyone knew who she was 'cause he wanted to ask her out.

We stared at him in silence for a moment. I knew who it was he was talking about. We all did. Harley had even seen her once. I was trying to figure out how the best, most gentle way to explain was going to be, when...

Phoebe broke into a sing-song chant of "CJ danced with a gho-ost! CJ danced with a gho-ost!"

I kicked her under the table and she shut up. Harley gently explained to CJ that the girl he danced with was most likely Rose, the ghost of Wightwick Manor. As far as anyone knew, Harley was the only other person to have ever seen her, though Lacrymosa had "sensed" her and been the one that told us her name.

CJ looked confused and kind of sad. He mumbled something about "Oh. Okay. Thanks for the information" and then left.

Poor fella took it kind of hard, but I guess it's not every day you find out you've got a crush on a ghost, either.
