Syrinx Gets a Roommate

Syrinx, the professional muse of the house, had a yard sale last weekend.

I had noticed that she had help. There was a beautiful, black haired girl helping her, but I didn't get a chance to ask who she was at the time.

Turns out, her name is Hana, and she's a pixie exchange student from Japan. She'll be attending school in Colorado for a while, and she needed a place to live. Syrinx (unbeknownst to me) had put an ad for a roommate in the Pixie Pages, and so Hana contacted her.

They seem to get along really well.

Hana is apparently an excellent cook and so she's trading cooking and house cleaning for room and board. It seems to be working out very well so far.

When she's not at school, or cleaning or cooking, Hana mostly hangs out in her room, working on her laptop, and watching DVDs. She seems to be a bit of a horror movie fan.

She seems like a very nice pixie, and she's very smart. It looks like it's going to work out to be a very good roommate situation for both of them, which I think is just wonderful.

Personally, I think Syri spends too much time talking to people on the web (being that it's part of her job and all) and not enough talking to people in person. I think having a roommate is just about the best thing that could've happened to her.

Welcome to the family, Hana!
