We're home and done with the miniatures show. It was awesome. So here are some of the pictures of Day 1 at the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys Fall Show!
Aspen and I unpacking.
Aspen wrangling the Halloween Teddy Bears while I set up trays (I think she got the cuddlier job, by far).
We had our own little spot in one of the cases, where we could safely watch the show get set up around us.
And we people watched. People are pretty funny to watch, and Aspen has a great sense of humor.
Everything set up and ready to go!
One last check before we head back to the store for a few hours.
My buddy Lelu came to visit at the store and drop off my birthday presents early (my birthday was on the 9th). A whole box of candy! YUM!
She also totally brought me a fine selection of Clint Eastwood DVDs (I'm kind of on a Clint Eastwood kick. I don't know why. For a human, he's kind of compelling. *shrug*) Thank you, Lelu!
Then it was more sitting around and waiting.
Sitting around and waiting some more.
Aspen is in charge of feeding the dogs at Norm's.
All of the dogs. They're pretty cute, though. A little overwhelming when they're hungry, maybe.
Once the dogs were fed, it was back to the show for "preview night". Just a couple hours of folks browsing. We didn't even put on our name tags. We knew we weren't wandering on the first night.
Well, not anywhere further away than the market stall. But there was plenty to do there and we were pretty wiped after all that setting up.
The next day, Saturday, we got to see some friends! I'll tell you all about that next time. For now, I have GOT to get some sleep (I'm writing this at 9:30 at night, even though I'm posting it at 8 a.m. the next day. Ah, the magic of blogging.)
Night night.
