Hana: Oh, hey Syrinx. Laundry day?
Syrinx: Yeah, it kind of snuck up on me. When I realized this dress was the only clean one I had left I knew I was in trouble. (laugh)
Hana: (laughing) Been there. Done that. Um... so could I talk to you a minute?
Syrinx: Sure. What's on your mind, Hana?
Hana: Well, it's about Salem.
Hana: I'm worried about her, Syrinx. At school, there was this horrible... pack, there's no other word for them. A horrible pack of girls. And Salem has fallen in with them. I think her self confidence was really shaken with everything that happened, and she's blaming herself for trying to befriend a psycho and getting hurt, which can only lead to self-destructive tendencies. You know, like hanging out with bad people and getting into trouble.
Syrinx: Sometimes I forget you're a psych major, Hana. (smile) But I'm not sure what you think I can do. I try to leave Salem be, and she hasn't exactly asked my opinion on... well, anything.
Hana: Isn't there someone who could talk to her? Someone she'd listen to?
Syrinx: How about Sienna?
Hana: She hasn't spoken to her since Lacribarfa left.
Syrinx: (sigh) Well, the only family member that Salem ever listened to is her Aunt Kallisto.
Hana: Great!
Syrinx: Well, not great, since Kali, being a fury, believes the answer to everything is hunt them down and kill them. Oh, and burn down their hometown for good measure.
Hana: Oh...
Syrinx: I guess all we can do is hope for the best, Hana. Salem is a smart girl, she'll be okay.
Hana: Yeah, I know. It's just, she's a nice kid, and I hate to see her headed for trouble. You know?
Syrinx: Yes, I do know. I just don't know what to do to help her.
Hana: Yeah...
Syrinx: Except pray to the Pixish Gods that there aren't police involved this time...
